Looking Back: Fellows Convene for a Three Day Orientation

The RWJF Nursing and Health Policy Collaborative hosted a three day orientation for all RWJF Nursing and Health Policy Fellows on August 10-12, 2011. A full day was co-hosted by the RWJF Center for Health Policy and included a showcase of research activities from the Center and the Collaborative. The orientation was a great opportunity for faculty and staff to build upon relationships with colleagues at the RWJF Center for Health Policy at UNM.

Fellows had the opportunity to hear from Dr. Nancy Ridenour, Dean of the College of Nursing, who spoke about the many opportunities for RWJF Nursing and Health Policy Fellows to participate in state and national policy activities.

This year’s orientation focused on strengthening the Collaborative community and identifying ways to enhance the individual and collective capacity of fellows as health policy leaders, nurse researchers and as collaborators with social scientists. We look forward to celebrating the many accomplishments of the Collaborative’s fellows and faculty.
