Associate Professor and PhD Program Director
Kim J. Cox, PhD, RN, CNM, FACNM, is a tenured Associate Professor and PhD Program Director at the UNM College of Nursing. She received her BSN (1992), MN (1995), and PhD (2009) degrees at the University of Florida, Gainesville. Dr. Cox has practiced as a Certified Nurse-Midwife in a variety of settings ranging from homes to tertiary medical centers. Her research interests include vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC), perinatal health disparities, rural maternity care access, and healthcare workforce issues.
