Lauri Lineweaver Receives the NM Nursing Excellence Award

The New Mexico Nursing Excellence Awards held October 20, 2012 recognize excellence in nursing practice and honor nurses for the contributions they make to their organization, community and state.  There are more than 200 nurses from across the state nominated every year.

Lauri Lineweaver was nominated by peers at Presbyterian Healthcare Services in the category of Education/Research/Academia.  Her peers noted her work with academic programs and student placements throughout the state, implementation of the Nursing Workload Intensity Index, and her contributions to the Professional Nursing Practice Model using the Synergy Model of Patient Care as a framework.

The nomination also highlighted her contributions to the American Nurses Association on the Principles of Safe Nurse Staffing, including national webinars and conferences.
